Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, Accessibility Statement

The Pilates LAB is committed to creating and maintaining a studio environment that feels welcoming and safe for all bodies. We believe that the genius of the Pilates method should be accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, age, race, size, or exercise experience. In our space —and wherever we teach in the community— we want everyone to feel seen and heard, and be comfortable and confident enough to trust their own process and reach their own goals.

To this end we are:

•developing movement classes that are accessible for bodies of all sizes and abilities;
•training and hiring BIPOC & LGBTQ+ teachers;
•offering outreach programs in schools, community centers, communal work spaces, etc;
•collaborating with minority-owned businesses;
•amplifying historically-excluded voices on our social media pages;
•offering donation-based and $5 weekly classes;
•when possible, bringing in BIPOC + LGBTQ+ leaders in the greater Pilates & wellness community for workshops and master classes.

At The Pilates LAB there is zero tolerance for racism or discrimination of any kind.
